Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Balu Baluu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zane Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baluu's entrance music is WALK - Pantera. A fine choice. The key to victory for Balu Baluu has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baluu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Evans moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Baluu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Evans misses with a wild combination.
Baluu misses the shot to the body.
Baluu throws a series of punches but Evans moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jab, jab by Baluu - just one landing.

Evans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Baluu is looking to control Evans's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Baluu avoid being mounted?
Evans with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baluu wants to control but Evans is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Baluu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Baluu tries to get out of the position.

Evans gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Baluu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.
Baluu scores with a one two! Evans had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Zane Evans has been cut.

Baluu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Baluu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Evans counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nice shot lands for Baluu.
Baluu throws a right and a left that Evans avoids nicely.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Baluu, right into the meat.
Evans looks to throw the jab but Baluu is out of range.
Baluu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Evans.
Baluu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Baluu shoots in but Evans avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Baluu looks to score with a jab to the body but Evans is just out of range.
Baluu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Evans swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Baluu counters with a one-two to the body.
Baluu falls off balance throwing a combination
and Evans cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A chopping leg kick lands by Baluu.
Baluu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Baluu connects with a solid leg kick.

Baluu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Evans was covering up waiting for the punch and Baluu finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Baluu trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Baluu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Baluu passes Evans's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Baluu thows a huge punch but Evans dodges it nicely.

Baluu seems to be looking for submissions.
Baluu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Baluu trying to control the action but Evans is working from the bottom.
Evans has hold of Baluu's hands but Baluu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Baluu is keen to just control but Evans is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Baluu misses with a double jab.
Baluu is looking to wear down Evans with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Baluu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Evans. Evans circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Baluu throws a right hand that Evans ducks under and follows up with a left that Evans also avoids with ease.
Baluu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Evans gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Baluu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Baluu scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Baluu lands a nice shot that snaps Evans's head back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Baluu looks to land a combination. Evans sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Baluu connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Evans! He's out on his feet! Baluu rushes in and drops Evans with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
