Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noob Saibot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mauricio Machida has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mauricio Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noob Saibot!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circling - Machida throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Machida missing with a left hand there. Saibot was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Saibot drives through and clinches with Machida against the cage.

Saibot breaks from the clinch.

Saibot moves into range and clinches up with Machida.
Saibot looking to throw knees to the head but Machida is blocking nicely.
Machida tries to break the clinch but Saibot is controlling the position.
Machida stops a takedown attempt from Saibot.
Saibot drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Machida gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Saibot has hold of one of Machida's legs. Machida is fighting the takedown attempt but Saibot gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Machida wants to break free but Saibot has control.

Saibot tries to score a body lock takedown but Machida shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Machida has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Saibot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Saibot turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Saibot manages to end up in side control.
Machida bucks up and tries to throw Saibot off but instead Saibot has got his back!
I really don't envy Machida right now.

Saibot is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Saibot gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Saibot gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Saibot apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Saibot uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Machida.
Machida is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Machida really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A head kick from Machida lands but Saibot takes it in his stride.

Saibot shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Saibot was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Machida wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida is wriggling around but Saibot manages to pass to half guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Saibot has an Americana. Machida didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Saibot is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Saibot hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
