Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nori Gerard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reyes wants to clinch.
Gerard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reyes.
No joy there for Gerard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Reyes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reyes showed some decent athleticism there.
Reyes prevents Gerard from standing back up.
Reyes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gerard keeps working.
Gerard wants to stand back up but Reyes manages to pass into side control.
Gerard is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Reyes has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gerard loads up on a big right hand but Reyes slips the punch.
Reyes closes the distance and clinches up with Gerard, looking for a takedown. Reyes pushes Gerard against the cage but Gerard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Reyes throws a series of punches but Gerard moves out of range.
Reyes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gerard is fending him off so far but Reyes persists. Nope, Gerard circles away and we're back to standing.

Gerard takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Horrible takedown by Reyes or perhaps it was just good defense by Gerard which made him look bad.
Gerard could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Reyes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Gerard cracks Reyes with an open hand slap.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A bit of stalling here from Reyes.

Gerard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reyes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gerard looks to land a right hand but Reyes moved out of range.

Reyes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gerard is trying to defend but Reyes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Reyes is keen to just control but Gerard is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Reyes has Gerard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gerard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Reyes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gerard uses from the top position.

Reyes is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gerard knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gerard for a finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Reyes is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Gerard won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Reyes off his unconscious opponent!
