The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emanuel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Marks shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Emanuel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Emanuel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Marks in side control, throwing shots but Emanuel defends.
Emanuel is trying to work for a sweep but Marks has mounted him!

Marks moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Emanuel has worked his arm free - good work by Emanuel!
Emanuel tries to improve position but can't.
Emanuel is working hard here to advance position.

Marks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Emanuel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Marks wants to control but Emanuel is keeping him busy.
Marks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Marks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Emanuel has escaped the position, nice work there.
Marks content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Marks tries to advance to mount but Emanuel denies him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Emanuel misses with a straight right.

Marks clinches with his opponent.
Marks tries to break free but Emanuel pushes him back against the cage.

Marks has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Emanuel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Marks is looking for the choke from the back position but Emanuel is controlling his hands well.

Emanuel breaks Marks's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emanuel distracts Marks with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Marks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Emanuel sitting in guard here, content to control.
Emanuel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Marks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emanuel works his foot free and advances to mount.
Marks is squirming around, avoiding Emanuel's attempts to control the action.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Emanuel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Marks looks a forlorn figure.

Marks is looking to get to half guard.
Marks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Emanuel lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Emanuel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Marks is rocked!
Emanuel lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Marks hang on?
Marks is still in real trouble! Can Emanuel finish him?
Emanuel is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Marks goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Emanuel!
