Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matsusaki Kobiashi!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kobiashi is out of range and Chavez settles back down.
Kobiashi avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kobiashi moves away from the strike by Chavez.
Kobiashi blocks a low kick nicely.
Chavez scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Chavez lands a big right hand that sends Kobiashi crashing to the mat! Chavez stays standing though and waves Kobiashi back to his feet!
It looks like Matsusaki Kobiashi has been cut.
Chavez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Miguel Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chavez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Chavez.
Nice sprawl there from Chavez as Kobiashi shoots in.
Chavez attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Chavez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chavez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kobiashi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kobiashi shoots in for a double leg but Chavez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chavez throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chavez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kobiashi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kobiashi looks gassed!
Chavez lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chavez wants to land a leg kick but Kobiashi is out of range.
Chavez leaves Kobiashi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Miguel Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matsusaki Kobiashi.
Kobiashi walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chavez.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chavez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chavez lands a big head kick that sends Kobiashi to the canvas! Chavez follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
