The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groos stuffs the takedown.

Groos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hester swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Groos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hester dives on top into guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hester wants to finish this one by submission but Groos is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hester.
Groos should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Groos is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hester is trying to escape and Groos transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hester is forced to tap! Nice work there by Groos! Very nice indeed!
