The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dumars looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dumars fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kauri fails to land with a series of punches.
Tommi Kauri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kauri shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dumars manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dumars pulls Kauri in close to prevent any damage.
Kauri connects with a couple of short punches.

Dumars throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kauri escapes and throws Dumars's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Dumars is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dumars is trying to maintain the position but Kauri is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kauri lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dumars is looking for a sweep. Kauri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kauri winds up and cracks Dumars with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
