Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stan Stewert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergeant Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slaughter has chosen Ladies and Gentlemen as his entrance music. Stan Stewert is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stan Stewert!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergeant Slaughter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stewert shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Slaughter is staying active underneath Stewert, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stewert looking for a submission but Slaughter manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Slaughter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Slaughter keeping moving, preventing Stewert from controlling successfully.
Slaughter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Stewert is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Stewert postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Slaughter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stewert, into his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stewert working for a triangle but Slaughter defends it easily.
Slaughter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Slaughter passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stewert!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sergeant Slaughter just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slaughter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Slaughter throws the left hand but Stewert avoids the punch easily.
Slaughter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stewert closes the distance and clinches up with Slaughter, looking for a takedown. Stewert pushes Slaughter against the cage but Slaughter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stewert shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Slaughter misses with a wild combination.
Stewert throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slaughter's waist but Slaughter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stewert off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Stewert. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stewert is breathing heavily.

Slaughter sends Stewert crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Slaughter is motioning to the referee to let Stewert up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Stan Stewert has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slaughter shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Stewert takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Slaughter sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Stewert bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
