Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Escobedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Dalnsieng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalnsieng has chosen Ex's and Oh's-Atreyu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyrone Dalnsieng! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalnsieng changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escobedo tries to avoid it but Dalnsieng manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escobedo to the ground. Escobedo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Escobedo looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Escobedo misses. Dalnsieng throws a lazy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Dalnsieng looks gassed! Dalnsieng swats away the attempt to clinch by Escobedo. Escobedo shoots in and bounces Dalnsieng off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Escobedo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalnsieng swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dalnsieng not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Escobedo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalnsieng swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Escobedo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Escobedo closes the distance and pushes Dalnsieng back into the cage. Dalnsieng changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Escobedo fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Dalnsieng postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dalnsieng won't allow Escobedo to sweep him here. Escobedo is looking to sweep but instead, Dalnsieng has passed into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Escobedo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dalnsieng's waist but Dalnsieng gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Escobedo off to one side. Dalnsieng shoots in for a takedown but Escobedo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Escobedo throws a head kick but Dalnsieng moves out of range.
Dalnsieng closes the distance but Escobedo moves to the side and Escobedo counters with a shoot takedown. Dalnsieng fights it but they end up in guard. Dalnsieng is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Escobedo defends well. Escobedo is in close to Dalnsieng's body, working some short punches and elbows. Escobedo is looking to work some ground and pound but Dalnsieng has wrist control. Escobedo pushing down on Dalnsieng's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Dalnsieng is looking to improve his position.

He's hooked one of Escobedo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Escobedo's back! Escobedo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dalnsieng's guard. Nice work there by Escobedo.

Good work there by Escobedo. Escobedo takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Escobedo tries to clinch but Dalnsieng moves out of range. Escobedo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dalnsieng circles away quickly and effectively. Dalnsieng tries to keep at a distance but Escobedo has taken the fight into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dalnsieng as Escobedo tries to tie him up.

Escobedo is trying to maintain a safe position but Dalnsieng gets an underhook and turns Escobedo into the cage. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dalnsieng shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Escobedo tries to close the distance and clinch but Dalnsieng swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dalnsieng fails with a takedown attempt. Escobedo looks to land a combination. Dalnsieng sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Dalnsieng fails with a takedown attempt. Escobedo clinches. Escobedo drags the fight down to the ground.

Alex Escobedo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Escobedo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
