Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niall William Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bloggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The fight stays on the outside here - Bloggs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from Quinn both land. Nice combination.

Bloggs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Quinn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bloggs sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Quinn throws a nice looking combination but Bloggs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bloggs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Quinn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bloggs just misses with a punch to the body.

and Bloggs counters with a straight right hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bloggs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quinn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bloggs is trying desperately to land a takedown but Quinn is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bloggs.
Bloggs avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Horrible takedown by Bloggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Quinn which made him look bad.
