Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gustavo Menezes!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marques throws a left that rocks Menezes and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Marques dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Menezes regain composure!


It looks like Gustavo Menezes has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marques postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Menezes is trying to improve his position.
Marques wants to lay and pray for a moment but Menezes keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Menezes can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marques has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marques is looking for a sweep. Menezes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Menezes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marques gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Marques lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Menezes or not.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Marques takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Menezes gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Marques looking to hit a scissor sweep but Menezes is one step ahead there.
