The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verdek misses with a head kick.
Verdek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tokugawa misses with a straight left.
Tokugawa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Verdek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Verdek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tokugawa throws a jab but it's blocked by Verdek.
Tokugawa cracks Verdek with a good jab.

It looks like Sven Verdek has been cut.
Tokugawa lands a nice looking body shot.
Verdek moves out of range of the leg kick from Tokugawa.
Tokugawa moves out of range as Verdek throws a body kick.
Tokugawa rushes Verdek with punches - Verdek moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Verdek goes down! Tokugawa follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
