The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover throws a head kick but shields moves out of range.
shields on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dover. Dover obviously looking to wear him down.

Dover takes the fight into the clinch.

Dover escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
shields is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
shields tries a head kick but it misses.
Dover lands a nice looking kick to the body. shields takes a step back to recover.
Ben Dover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
shields looks gassed!

Dover lands a big head kick that sends shields tumbling to the mat! Dover takes a step backwards and waves shields back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Dover takes the fight into the clinch.
shields seems to have recovered his senses.
shields looking to throw knees to the head but Dover is blocking nicely.
shields throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dover blocks it with crossed arms.
Dover lands a nice elbow.

It looks like jarred shields has been cut.

Dover drops shields with a big right hand! Dover charges in looking to finish - shields manages to keep Dover in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.
Dover arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! shields's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
