Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vasya Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manson Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes into the arena with Metallica "For Whom The Bell Tolls" blaring out of the sound system. Wright comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Distillers - Drain the Blood kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright tries a head kick but it misses.
Petrov closes the distance and clinches up with Wright, looking for a takedown. Petrov pushes Wright against the ropes but Wright circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wright avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vasya Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrov rushes Wright and presses him up against the ropes.
Wright tries to pull guard but Petrov won't allow it.
Wright is trying to break the clinch but Petrov is controlling him.

Petrov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Wright has eaten all the pies!
Wright will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Petrov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wright has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Petrov has managed to get both his arms back between Wright's legs - danger averted.
Wright seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Wright tries to reverse the position but Petrov maintains control.
Petrov has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wright's face.

Wright tries to lock up and control but Petrov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Petrov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wright as he jumps to the side.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wright is looking to advance position but Petrov won't allow it.

Petrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wright scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Vasya Petrov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Manson Wright showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Wright tries to bum rush Petrov with a series of wild strikes but Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
