Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Taalasmaa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Doe or perhaps it was just good defense by Taalasmaa which made him look bad.
Taalasmaa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Doe counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Taalasmaa's guard now.
Doe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Taalasmaa's head.
Doe stops Taalasmaa from standing up.
Doe throws a strike but Taalasmaa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Taalasmaa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Doe is keeping the position for now.

Taalasmaa looking to sit in guard and control but Doe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Doe postures up in Taalasmaa's guard and throws a big left but Taalasmaa blocks it.

Taalasmaa has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Doe off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Taalasmaa doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Doe counters with a takedown into side control.
Taalasmaa is trying to get back to his feet.
Doe trying to control the action but Taalasmaa is working from the bottom.
Taalasmaa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Doe has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Doe lands an elbow.

It looks like Seppo Taalasmaa has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That has opened up Seppo Taalasmaa's cut even more.

Doe prevents Taalasmaa from escaping the position.
Taalasmaa prevents Doe from moving into mount.

Seppo Taalasmaa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Seppo Taalasmaa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
