And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

van den Kieboom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.
van den Kieboom looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
van den Kieboom won't allow Gracie to get back to his feet.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. van den Kieboom defends it easily.

van den Kieboom has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into van den Kieboom's guard.
van den Kieboom is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

van den Kieboom keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
van den Kieboom wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but van den Kieboom is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
van den Kieboom wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
van den Kieboom is pulling down on Gracie's head to control his posture.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.

van den Kieboom is trying to get back to full guard.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. van den Kieboom doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
van den Kieboom is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, van den Kieboom has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
van den Kieboom slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
van den Kieboom is breathing heavily.
Gracie is pressing down on van den Kieboom's thigh, looking to free his foot. van den Kieboom is holding on for now.

Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and van den Kieboom counters with a takedown into side control.

van den Kieboom is working to tighten is grip on Gracie's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gracie has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but van den Kieboom is really squeezing tight and eventually Gracie passes out! van den Kieboom breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
