Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack the Ripper!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

the Ripper looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Byrd!
Byrd is in all sorts of trouble here.
the Ripper takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Byrd is trying desperately to improve position.
Byrd is trying to reverse the position but instead the Ripper has taken his back - oops!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
I looks like the Ripper might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

the Ripper is punishing Byrd with strikes - can he finish him?!
the Ripper keeps control of the position as Byrd tries to break free.
Byrd is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

the Ripper is landing with strikes from the back.

the Ripper is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Byrd has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but the Ripper has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Byrd taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. the Ripper doesn't care though - he's delighted!
