The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liriano throws a leg kick but Araya sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Araya fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Liriano fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Araya.
Araya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Araya is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Liriano.
Liriano throws a head kick but Araya moves out of range.
Liriano thumps Araya with a low kick.
Araya throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Araya swats away the attempt to clinch by Liriano.
Araya defending well as Liriano loads up on a big left hand.
Liriano throws a head kick that misses.

Liriano moves into range and clinches up with Araya.

Liriano breaks the clinch.
Liriano misses with a few strikes there.
Liriano scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Araya blocks a leg kick.
Araya smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Liriano misses with a hook. Araya ducked under it nicely.
Araya steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Liriano.

Nice sprawl there from Liriano as Araya shoots in.
Nice takedown defense from Liriano. No joy for Araya on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Araya. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Liriano takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Araya shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liriano but Liriano pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Liriano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Araya throws a low kick, looking for Liriano's leg but Liriano calmly moves out of range.

Tom Araya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liriano tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Araya is able to avoid easily.
Liriano connects with a crisp jab.

Araya is rocked!
Liriano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Araya circles away quickly and effectively.
Liriano jabs Araya right on the nose. Araya blinks but takes it well.
Oh Araya is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Liriano closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Araya! Liriano dives in looking to finish! Araya is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
