PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nero Boston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Osorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boston comes into the arena with Loituma - blaring out of the sound system. Osorio is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Run to the Hills. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hector Osorio was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Osorio's waist but Osorio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boston off to one side.

Osorio throws a jab but it's blocked by Boston.

It looks like Nero Boston has been cut.
Osorio throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boston bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Osorio is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boston.
Osorio throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Boston drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Boston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Osorio is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Boston, into his guard.

Boston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Osorio doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Osorio manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boston wants to sweep here but Osorio controlling him for the moment.

Boston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Osorio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Osorio connects with a nice short shot to Boston's temple.
Boston is staying active underneath Osorio, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Osorio is on top in guard.
