PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erik Lehnsherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lehnsherr comes to the cage accompanied by Faint. Anderson has chosen Heart of a Lion - Judas Priest as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lehnsherr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A jab from Lehnsherr misses.
Lehnsherr jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lehnsherr shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Lehnsherr tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lehnsherr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circling - Lehnsherr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lehnsherr misses with a hook. Anderson ducked under it nicely.

and Lehnsherr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
