PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slick Rick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joselito Manolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick comes to the cage accompanied by Children's Story. Joselito Manolo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manolo fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manolo moves away.
The fighters circling - Rick throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Rick throws an overhand right that lands on Manolo's shoulder, as Manolo tries to avoid the shot.
Manolo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rick misses with a hook. Manolo ducked under it nicely.
Manolo wants to clinch up but Rick keeps it at a distance.
Rick is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Manolo.
A punch lands to the side of Manolo 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Joselito Manolo has been cut.
Rick misses with a looping left.

Rick moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Manolo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rick jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manolo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rick missing with a left hand there. Manolo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manolo was well out of range. Poor timing from Rick.

Rick throws a right hand that Manolo ducks under and follows up with a left that Manolo also avoids with ease.

Rick throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Manolo has eaten all the pies!

That has opened up Joselito Manolo's cut even more.

Rick thuds a left hand into Manolo's body.
Rick fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rick lands a really nice looking cross but Manolo seems unphased.
Rick lands with an overhand left.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The cut above Joselito Manolo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Rick drops Manolo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Manolo looks back up at him and smiles so Rick waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rick drops Manolo with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rick follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
