Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shunzo Ura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oshida Niogoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Niogoshi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ura.
Ura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shunzo Ura. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ura fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ura throws a shot from downtown. Niogoshi moves away and avoids it.
Ura fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Horrible takedown by Ura or perhaps it was just good defense by Niogoshi which made him look bad.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ura shoots in but no luck this time.
Ura fails to land the takedown.
Niogoshi wants to clinch but Ura slips to the side

and Ura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ura drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Niogoshi dives on top into guard.
Ura wants to stand but Niogoshi is controlling the position.

Ura has his feet on Niogoshi's thighs here. He's pushed Niogoshi off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Niogoshi screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
