PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Spart has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Spart seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Spart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spart.
Spart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aldo but Aldo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Danga de danga de dang - Aldo scores with a four punch combination!
A combination from Aldo does no damage.
Aldo cracks Spart with a good jab.
Spart fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Spart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aldo tries to avoid it but Spart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aldo to the ground. Aldo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aldo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Spart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aldo's waist but Aldo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spart off to one side.
Spart slips a jab and a cross from Aldo.
Aldo scores with a one two! Spart had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Jack Spart has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aldo lands a left and a right that send Spart crashing to the mat, dazed. Aldo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Spart is rocked!
Aldo lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Spart - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Aldo!
