Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Gatling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox has chosen Star 69 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Gatling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francisco Fox! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatling scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fox is trying to get back to full guard. Gatling passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Fox! Gatling tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fox reaches up to try and control the position but Gatling seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fox rolls and tries to escape and now Gatling has his back!
Fox is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Gatling.

That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Fox's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Gatling missing with strikes. Gatling has Fox flattened out and is raining down punches. Fox wants to escape the position.
Fox should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gatling controls the position. Gatling has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gatling is breathing heavily. I really don't envy Fox right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oooh a big shot gets through from Gatling. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Gatling is not going to allow Fox to sit and survive in this position. Fox tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fox trying to control the action but Gatling just sinks the hooks in. Gatling working for a choke but Fox is defending well. Fox is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fox breaks Gatling's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Fox trying to control the position from guard on top but Gatling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gatling keeping full guard, as Fox tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gatling holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fox tries to score a body lock takedown but Gatling shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Gatling gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fox.
Stephen Gatling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francisco Fox. Gatling lands a takedown into guard.
Fox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gatling manages to get himself to full guard.

Gatling uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gatling bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gatling working the head with strikes. Gatling slows the pace down. Gatling advances nicely into full mount. Gatling forces the positional change into back control. Gatling avoiding Fox 's attempts to control his hands. Gatling really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Fox. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fox looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephen Gatling dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fox with a poor takedown and Gatling counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fox's guard now. Fox working a defensive guard here.
Fox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fox is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gatling rolls with it to try and escape but Fox cranks on the arm and Gatling is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
