Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobi Brasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Machin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tobi Brasco!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machin clinches with his opponent.

Machin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brasco shoots for a double leg takedown but Machin sprawls well. He's pushed Brasco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brasco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Machin throws a head kick that misses.
Brasco changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machin tries to avoid it but Brasco manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machin to the ground. Machin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee Machin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobi Brasco.

Machin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brasco stops Machin from passing to mount.
Brasco is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Brasco manages to work his way to half guard, despite Machin's best efforts.

Machin stands up and beckons Brasco to join him on the feet.

and Machin counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Machin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brasco keeps working.

Machin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Brasco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Machin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Brasco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Brasco gets back to half guard.
Machin is looking to take a break and control but Brasco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Machin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Machin.

Machin moves into range and clinches up with Brasco.

Machin lands a takedown into guard.
Brasco is trying to control the position but Machin postures up.

Brasco is working an open guard so Machin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Brasco fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brasco doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Machin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Machin.

Brasco is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brasco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machin is one step ahead there.
Machin wants to stand but Brasco is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Machin tries to stand but Brasco is controlling from the bottom.

Brasco has his foot on Machin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machin works his way back into a safe position though.

Machin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brasco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Machin has managed to get both his arms back between Brasco's legs - danger averted.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Machin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brasco on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brasco thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brasco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Machin, who protects the arm well.

Machin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Machin wants to take a breather but Brasco is having none of it.
Brasco wants to get back to full guard.

Brasco is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Machin pulls his head out easily.

Machin gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Brasco is breathing heavily.
Brasco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Machin counters by clinching up.

Machin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Machin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Machin has his hands on Brasco's head, controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machin trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brasco is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Machin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Machin has escaped and now he's on top!

Brasco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Machin defends well.

Machin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Brasco tries to close the distance and clinch but Machin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Machin has managed to clinch.

Machin decides to pull guard.
Machin has control of Brasco's left arm, preventing Brasco from doing any damage.

Brasco drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Machin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brasco has Machin in his guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Brasco is staying active underneath Machin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Machin wants to pass the guard but Brasco is defending well.

Brasco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Machin wants to free his trapped foot but Brasco is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Machin is trying to control the action in half guard but Brasco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Brasco drives through with a takedown into guard.
Machin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brasco's guard.
Machin is looking to advance position but Brasco has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Machin tries to reverse the position but Brasco maintains control.
Machin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Brasco trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Machin is looking to improve his position but Brasco isn't that keen on the idea.
Machin is working hard here to advance position.
Lee Machin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Machin wants to control but Brasco is having none of it.

Brasco is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Machin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Machin shrugs it off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brasco goes for an armbar but Machin turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Machin.

Tobi Brasco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Machin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
