Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volmar Wikstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Volmar Wikstrom!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime shoots in looking for a takedown. Wikstrom tries to sprawl out of it but Prime keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wikstrom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Prime shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wikstrom sprawls well. Wikstrom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Prime gets slowly back to his feet.
Prime's corner calls for a 1-2. Prime obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Prime won't allow Wikstrom to sweep him here.
Prime wants to pass the guard but Wikstrom is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prime accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Prime is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Prime has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Prime is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Prime slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Prime landing some decent shots from guard.
Prime sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wikstrom's guard.
Prime wants to control but Wikstrom is keeping him busy.
Wikstrom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prime. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Prime is looking for a kimura but Wikstrom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Prime to get the leverage.

Prime is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wikstrom doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Prime.
Prime wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wikstrom keeps working.
Prime seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. optimus Prime just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Wikstrom misses with the combination.
Wikstrom misses the shot to the body.
Wikstrom looks to score with a jab to the body but Prime is just out of range.
Wikstrom throws a lazy right hand but Prime sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Prime shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wikstrom sprawls well. Wikstrom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Prime gets slowly back to his feet.

That's time! Prime's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Prime changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wikstrom looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Prime tries to move to mount but Wikstrom blocks the move with his legs.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Prime sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Wikstrom is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Prime shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wikstrom as he jumps to the side.
Prime throws a looping overhand right but Wikstrom ducks down to avoid it.
optimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wikstrom slaps away a takedown attempt from Prime, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for optimus Prime. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Prime is defended easily by Wikstrom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wikstrom dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Prime looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wikstrom is fending him off so far but Prime persists. Nope, Wikstrom circles away and we're back to standing.

No joy there for Wikstrom, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Prime tries to bum rush Wikstrom with a series of wild strikes but Wikstrom uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
