Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronaldo Souza!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Beer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Souza napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Beer tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Souza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Souza looking for a sweep but Beer has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beer looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Souza regains half guard.
Souza works his way to full guard. Good work.
Beer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Beer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Souza swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beer stays in close to Souza's body and controls the position.
Souza keeping moving, preventing Beer from controlling successfully.
Beer looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Beer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Souza looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Beer trying to control but Souza is working from the bottom.
Beer is looking to work some ground and pound but Souza has wrist control.

Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Souza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beer manages to get himself to full guard.

Souza throws and elbow that misses. Beer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Souza's guard. Nice move by Beer!

Souza throws his legs up looking for a submission but Beer uses it to pass to side control.

Beer decides to stand up, so the ref orders Souza to his feet.
Souza has his takedown stuffed

and Beer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Souza won't be happy with that.

Beer scores with a couple of short elbows.
Souza is looking to regain half guard here but Beer keeps moving and retains side control.
Beer just content to control the position.
Beer working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Souza takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Beer gets to mount! Souza was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Beer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Souza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Beer counters with a three punch combo that has Souza backing up. Souza nods at Beer to acknowledge the strikes.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Beer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Souza has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Beer should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Souza has tightened it up now! Beer should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
