Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Ollie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brijwanth J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brijwanth J is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
J waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ollie.

Ollie cracks J with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ollie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as J sprawls well. J wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ollie gets slowly back to his feet.

J bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
J throws a lazy right hand but Ollie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

J throws a hook but Ollie avoids it easily.
Ollie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has J pinned against the cage. J gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
J takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Brijwanth J has been cut.
J is breathing heavily.

J ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

J walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ollie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and J counters with a series of strikes. Ollie will be more careful next time no doubt.

Brijwanth J is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ollie tries to bum rush J with a series of wild strikes but J uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ollie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

J leaves Ollie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Ollie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ollie fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ollie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ollie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Ollie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Rock Ollie is winning the standup battle so far.

Ollie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ollie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Well, if Ollie is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ollie connects with a nice short shot to J's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ollie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can J defend it? Ollie steps over the head and cranks it - J is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ollie!
