Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Augustine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augustine comes to the cage accompanied by The Stooges - I Wanna Be Your Dog. Kingston has chosen Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Augustine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kingston tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Augustine is able to avoid easily.
Augustine moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Eddie Kingston has been cut.
Augustine throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kingston.
Augustine throws a combination. Kingston tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Augustine clobbers Kingston with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kingston throws a hook but Augustine blocks it.
Kingston throws a combination that misses
and Kingston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kingston has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Augustine clobbers Kingston with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Augustine scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kingston holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Augustine tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Augustine unloads with some shots from mount but Kingston bucks and avoids them well.

Augustine will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
You get the feeling that Kingston really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That has opened up Eddie Kingston's cut even more.
Augustine throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Augustine swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kingston is now in Augustine's guard. A big mistake from Augustine there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Augustine has his foot on Kingston's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kingston works his way back into a safe position though.
Augustine tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Augustine looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kingston is defending well. Augustine quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kingston has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Augustine celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tim Augustine!
