Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Joans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Trueman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mikey Joans has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikey Joans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Trueman!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joans swinging wildly here.
Joans throws a right and a left that Trueman avoids nicely.
Joans looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Joans throws out a loose jab but Trueman uses good head movement to avoid it.
No joy there for Joans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joans lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trueman circles away quickly and effectively.
Joans looks to land a left hand but Trueman moved out of range nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trueman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joans.

Joans utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Trueman is working Joans over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trueman can do anything to dispel that myth.

so Trueman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Trueman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Trueman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Joans's head.
Trueman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Trueman is stalling here. Joans is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Trueman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Joans has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
