Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mocny Vlad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and karl morph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mocny Vlad could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to karl morph's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
morph is looking to clinch.
Vlad tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Vlad shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vlad missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Vlad seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Vlad wants to free his trapped foot but morph is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Vlad seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vlad lands a nice short elbow.
morph is looking to control Vlad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can morph avoid being mounted?
morph throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Vlad missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
morph wants to control but Vlad is keeping busy.

Vlad is taking a breather. morph says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
morph is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Vlad tries to stand and escape but morph is controlling the position.
morph has hold of Vlad's hands but Vlad slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

It looks like karl morph has been cut.
Vlad prevents morph from standing back up.
Vlad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vlad is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Vlad throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Vlad tries to pass the half guard into mount. morph knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Vlad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Vlad trying to mount his opponent but morph defends it.

Vlad decides to stand up.

Vlad gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vlad throwing shots but morph is blocking nicely.
morph trying to hold on to Vlad's head to control him but Vlad postures up.
morph tries to roll over but Vlad keeps him under control.

Vlad tries to pass the half guard into mount. morph knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vlad stands up from half guard.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Vlad - that will leave a mark!
morph looks gassed!
Vlad lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That has opened up karl morph's cut even more.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vlad shoots in and bounces morph off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vlad is in close to morph's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Vlad works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ground and pound from Vlad.

Vlad decides to stand and escape the position.

morph gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vlad to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vlad's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Vlad decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on morph, up you get!
Vlad throws a quick head kick that skims the top of morph's head.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Vlad!

The cut above karl morph's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Vlad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. morph is trying to defend but Vlad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
morph has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vlad is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vlad stands up out of the half guard.
Vlad scores with a nice body kick.

Vlad closes the distance and pushes morph back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vlad works over morph's head and body with a nice combination.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Vlad! morph is out on his feet! Vlad rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - morph is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! morph is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
