The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Stone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A swing and a miss from Stone.
Stone dives in and grabs Davies's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davies pushes down on Stone's head and hops out.
Stone pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Stone misses the jab.
Stone throws a jab but it's blocked by Davies.

Davies shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Stone looking for a guillotine here but Davies defends easily.

Stone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davies gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stone has his foot on Davies's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davies works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A left and a right from Davies both land. Nice combination.
Stone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Davies moves out of range of the body kick from Stone.

Davies shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stone is trying to defend but Davies finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Davies stops Stone from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone moves into full guard.

Stone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stone wants to stand and escape but Davies is having none of it.

Stone has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Davies doesn't defend quickly enough and Stone has managed to lock this one up! Can Davies escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Stone on a fantastic submission victory.
