Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Boycov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Zabrawski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxim Boycov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonas Zabrawski!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boycov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Zabrawski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zabrawski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Zabrawski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boycov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zabrawski's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Boycov is trying to keep Zabrawski in close.
Zabrawski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boycov wants to stand and escape but Zabrawski is having none of it.
Zabrawski is looking to advance position but Boycov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Boycov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zabrawski is now in Boycov's guard. A big mistake from Boycov there, giving up the dominant position!
Zabrawski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Zabrawski is looking to work some ground and pound but Boycov has wrist control.
Boycov wants to get back to his feet but Zabrawski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Zabrawski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Boycov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Boycov is breathing heavily.
Zabrawski is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zabrawski's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jonas Zabrawski just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boycov tries to close the distance and clinch but Zabrawski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Zabrawski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

I looks like Zabrawski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Boycov is not content to let Zabrawski control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boycov is trying to get back to his feet.
Zabrawski is looking to take a break and control but Boycov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zabrawski wants to control but Boycov is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zabrawski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boycov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Boycov doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Zabrawski counters with a single leg into guard. Boycov didn't expect that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boycov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zabrawski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zabrawski shrugs it off.

Boycov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Zabrawski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Zabrawski!
