The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Ford does no damage.
Leben shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ford sprawls well. Ford wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leben gets slowly back to his feet.
Ford moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Chris Leben has been cut.
Ford fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leben avoids it really well and circles away.
Ford throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Leben counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Leben trying to control the position from guard on top but Ford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Leben would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Leben as Ford shoots in.
Chris Leben has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Ford.
Leben throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Leben is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ford has managed to free his arm - good work.
Leben prevents Ford from standing back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ford scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Leben moves out of range of the body kick from Ford.
Ford connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Leben swinging wildly here.
Ford dives in and grabs Leben's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leben pushes down on Ford's head and hops out.

Leben shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Leben was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Leben can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ford is looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Leben won't let Ford get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Leben postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ford looks a forlorn figure.

Leben swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
