These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Phelan is looking for a sweep. Austin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Phelan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Austin is working away from the top position though.
It looks like Austin is going to stand back up.
Austin works his foot free and advances to mount.

Austin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Phelan is trying to get back to half guard.
Austin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Phelan to see if he's OK.

Phelan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Steve Austin showed his dominance in that final round.
