Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seeley Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Seeley Booth!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Wilshere!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Booth is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wilshere throws a body punch but Booth moves out of range.

Wilshere fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Booth sprawls well initially but Wilshere persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wilshere throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wilshere is controlling the pace.
Wilshere wants to pass to mount but Booth is defending the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilshere connects with a nice short shot to Booth's temple.
Wilshere wants to take a breather but Booth is having none of it.

Wilshere works his way into full mount!
Wilshere can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Booth is looking to escape.
Wilshere misses with a head shot.
Wilshere landing punches.
Wilshere throwing strikes but Booth bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Wilshere trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wilshere looking to sit in guard and control but Booth gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wilshere is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Wilshere is working for takedown but Booth is calmly controlling the position for now.
A bit of stalling here from Wilshere.

Wilshere jumps guard and drags Booth to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wilshere can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Booth is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilshere throwing strikes here but Booth is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Booth misses with a few strikes there.
Wilshere takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wilshere scores with a one two! Booth had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Booth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilshere on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Booth misses with a hook. Wilshere ducked under it nicely.
Wilshere fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Booth.
Wilshere thows a body shot but no joy.
Wilshere walks into a straight right hand from Booth.

Wilshere is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wilshere lands an uppercut.

Wilshere is breathing heavily.
Wilshere makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wilshere trying to move into half guard but instead Booth has managed to sweep!
Wilshere wants to sweep here but Booth controlling him for the moment.
Wilshere trying to keep a closed guard but Booth is proving a slippery customer.
Booth won't allow Wilshere to sweep him here.
Wilshere manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Poor strikes thrown by Wilshere there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Booth can't escape the position.

Wilshere moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Booth has worked his arm free - good work by Booth!
Wilshere sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Booth is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wilshere is trying to control the action in half guard but Booth is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wilshere thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Booth's head.
Wilshere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wilshere wants to take a breather but Booth is having none of it.
Wilshere not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Wilshere counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Booth takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wilshere throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wilshere lands a slapping body shot.
Wilshere uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Booth.
No joy there for Booth, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wilshere looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Booth!
Booth is squirming around, avoiding Wilshere's attempts to control the action.

Booth takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Booth is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Wilshere with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
