PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Minar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minar comes into the arena with Pijemo ga radi blaring out of the sound system. Manres has chosen Aqualung - Jethro Tull as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edgar Minar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manres avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Minar slaps away a takedown attempt from Manres, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Manres.
Minar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Manres closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Minar to the mat! Minar manages to get full guard.

Minar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Manres stacks Minar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Manres!
Manres is looking to take a break and control but Minar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Manres tries for a kimura but Minar is defending well.
Minar is looking to reverse the position.
Minar is working hard here to advance position.
Manres just content to control the position.

Manres thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Manres has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Manres wants to control the pace but Minar is squirming around nicely.

Manres jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Minar manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Minar can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Minar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Manres throwing shots but missing, from side control.
