The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Benn fails to land the takedown.
Freitas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Freitas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Benn looks to land a combination but Freitas avoids it well.
Freitas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Benn counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Benn shoots in and drives through. Freitas sprawls well.

Freitas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Benn is trying to defend but Freitas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benn pushes Freitas off looking to stand but Freitas dives back in and keeps control.
