The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira loads up on a big right hand but GRACIE slips the punch.
Oliveira tries to bum rush GRACIE with a series of wild strikes but GRACIE uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oliveira throws a jab when GRACIE was well out of range.
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but GRACIE paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oliveira is looking to clinch.
GRACIE moves out of range as Oliveira strikes.
Oliveira tries to bum rush GRACIE with a series of wild strikes but GRACIE uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
GRACIE uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Oliveira.
Oliveira tries to clinch but GRACIE is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

GRACIE bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

GRACIE working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

GRACIE thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

GRACIE has an Americana. Oliveira didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! GRACIE is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if GRACIE hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
