Vasara is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: U Can't Touch This. Tommy Vice had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vice sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vasara ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Vice takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Vasara misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Vice shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vasara's guard.
Vasara tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vice accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vasara is trying to control the position but Vice postures up.
Vice pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vasara is keeping the position for now.
Vasara wants to stand up but Vice is controlling him.

Vice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vasara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

It looks like Tommy Vice has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vasara fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vice looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vasara lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Vasara lands with a big left! Vice is wobbled badly! Vasara comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Vice to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
