Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills has a takedown stuffed.
Porter tries to clinch but Mills is having none of it.
Mills will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mills misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
John Porter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Mills.
Mills circles away from the clinch attempt.
Porter stuffs the takedown attempt from Mills. Mills gets slowly back to his feet.

and Mills counters with a shoot takedown. Porter fights it but they end up in guard.
Mills stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Porter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mills is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Porter clinches up with Mills and pushes him back against the cage.

Mills is trying to trip Porter. He has hold of a leg but Porter is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mills persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Porter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mills doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mills manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Porter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Porter wants to take a breather but Mills is having none of it.
Porter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mills won't allow Porter to pass to mount.

Porter wanted to stand there but Mills had control of the position.

Porter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mills is trying to control the position but Porter postures up.
Mills looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Porter puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Porter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mills tries to roll over but Porter keeps him under control.
Mills gets full guard.

Porter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Mills has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Porter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mills looking to hit a scissor sweep but Porter is one step ahead there.
Porter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mills looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mills keeping moving, preventing Porter from controlling successfully.
Mills bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Porter's guard.
Mills trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mills is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Porter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mills trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mills drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Porter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mills has Porter in his guard.
Mills tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mills is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mills is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Porter defends it well.
Porter is not content to let Mills control the position.
Porter is trying to stand.

Mills is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Porter is looking to regain half guard here but Mills keeps moving and retains side control.

Mills has an Americana. Porter didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mills is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mills hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
