Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Lenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lenin slaps away a takedown attempt from Machida, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Machida throws a push kick but Lenin slaps the foot to one side.
Machida fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lenin avoids it really well and circles away.
Machida has Lenin up against the cage in a clinch.
Lenin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Machida breaks the clinch.
Machida fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lenin, pushing him back against the cage.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Machida seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lenin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Machida walks away with a smile on his face. Lenin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lenin dives in and grabs Machida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes down on Lenin's head and hops out.

and Machida counters with a nice kick to the body.
Machida leaves Lenin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Machida rushes Lenin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lenin is trying to break the clinch but Machida is controlling him.
Lenin pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lenin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Machida works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Machida is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Machida is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lenin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Machida.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lenin is looking for a sweep. Machida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lenin wants to control but Machida is keeping busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Machida holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lenin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Machida is keeping busy.
Lenin is trying to force a seperation but Machida has the dominant position.
Lenin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Machida is defending well for now.

Horrible takedown by Lenin or perhaps it was just good defense by Machida which made him look bad.

Lyoto Machida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Lenin counters with a left to the body.
Lenin dives in and grabs Machida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes down on Lenin's head and hops out.
Lenin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Machida moves into range and clinches up with Lenin.
Machida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machida takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

and Machida counters with a left and a right that stings Lenin.
Lenin tries for a takedown but Machida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lyoto Machida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Machida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
