Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrik Ivanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abraham Suren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suren comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Goran Bregovic - Bubamara kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Abraham Suren told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrik Ivanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abraham Suren!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suren is looking to clinch but Ivanov is avoiding it.
Suren cracks Ivanov with an open hand slap.
Suren lands with a right hand.

Suren clinches with his opponent.
Suren is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Ivanov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Suren smiles and moves away.
Suren tries to close the distance and clinch but Ivanov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ivanov fails with a takedown attempt.

Suren closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ivanov tries to pull guard but Suren holds him up against the cage and eventually Ivanov drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adrik Ivanov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ivanov tries for a takedown but Suren manages to get underhooks.
Ivanov fails to pull guard.
Ivanov has Suren pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Suren manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Suren escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Suren clinches up against the cage.

Ivanov has hold of one of Suren's legs. Suren is fighting the takedown attempt but Ivanov gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Suren is looking to stand up but Ivanov isn't so interested in that idea.
Suren is trying to control the position but Ivanov postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suren is wriggling around but Ivanov manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suren has a hand on Ivanov's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ivanov takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Suren tries to reverse the position but Ivanov maintains control.
Ivanov manages to capitalize on a mistake by Suren to take his back!
Suren looks gassed!
Suren wants to control his opponent's hands but Ivanov gets his hands free.
Ivanov lands a shot to the head.
I would not like to be Suren right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suren has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Ivanov gets his hands free as Suren looks to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ivanov wants to control but Suren manages to buck him off and is now in Ivanov's guard! Nice work there by Suren!
Ivanov looking for a sweep. Not yet Ivanov, not yet.

Suren is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ivanov has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Suren is looking to defend but Ivanov has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Suren! Ivanov pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Suren taps out and this one is all over!
