Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Janson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is warren peace raps. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Janson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mack's waist but Mack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Janson off to one side.

Mack is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Mack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Janson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Janson is trying to control the action in half guard but Mack is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Janson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
