Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Slewton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Ing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Ing is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Slewton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Ing!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slewton lands with an overhand left.
Slewton shoots in but no luck this time.

Slewton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ing looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Slewton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Slewton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ing is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Slewton goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ing rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Slewton's guard! Nice work there by Ing!
Ing would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ing is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Slewton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Slewton has escaped and now he's on top!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slewton wants to control from the top but Ing keeps moving.
Slewton won't allow Ing to get back to his feet.
Slewton passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ing is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Slewton tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Slewton advances to mount.

Slewton looking for a guillotine from mount but Ing is having none of it.
Slewton is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Slewton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ing is now in Slewton's guard. A big mistake from Slewton there, giving up the dominant position!
Slewton keeping moving, preventing Ing from controlling successfully.

Ing stands and steps away. Slewton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ing throws a low kick but it's checked well by Slewton.
Slewton misses with a body kick.
Slewton tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Some bone on bone action there as Slewton checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ing tries to score with a low kick but Slewton moves his leg out of the way.
No luck for Slewton with that takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slewton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Slewton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ing gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Slewton counters with a nice leg kick.
A low kick from Ing misses

so Slewton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ing is trying to hold Slewton in close to prevent damage but Slewton has managed to pass into half guard.
Slewton is trying to control the action in half guard but Ing is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ing looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Slewton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ing regains full guard. Nicely done.

Ing is looking for a triangle but Slewton pushes his legs off easily.
Ing looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ing working a defensive guard here.

Ing has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slewton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ing had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Slewton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ing Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Slewton's back instead.

Ing is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Slewton defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ing is hanging on to Slewton's back as he tries to escape.
Slewton trying to control but not successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Slewton will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Ing throws a leg kick that is checked

and Slewton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ing lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slewton!

Ing swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Slewton is now in Ing's guard. A big mistake from Ing there, giving up the dominant position!

Slewton drops back looking for a leg! Ing is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ing manages to kick Slewton off! Slewton jumps back into Ing's guard.

Slewton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ing swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ing is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Slewton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ing is keeping the position for now.

Ing working for submissions but it's allowed Slewton to get to half guard.

Slewton is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ing is pressing down on Slewton's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Slewton trying to control the position from guard on top but Ing is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ing has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slewton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Slewton wants to control from the top but Ing keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Slewton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Slewton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Slewton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slewton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ing can't do much from the bottom here.

Slewton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ing has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Ing's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A control attempt from Ing but he's now mounted!
Slewton avoids the attempt from Ing to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ing tries to reverse the position but Slewton maintains control.
Carlos Slewton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Slewton trying to control but Ing is having none of it.
Ing really wants to buck Slewton off and get back to his feet.

Slewton is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Ing is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Ing flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Slewton anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Ing and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Slewton slips an arm under Ing chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Slewton has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Slewton is squeezing on Ing like an anaconda would it's prey. Ing fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Carlos Slewton!
