The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hendry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Goshi.

Goshi throws a lazy right hand but Hendry sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hendry blocks a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Goshi loads up on a big right hand but Hendry slips the punch.
Hendry fails with the takedown.
Goshi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Goshi throws a good cross that connects.
Goshi throws a hook but Hendry avoids it easily.

Goshi tries to close the distance and clinch but Hendry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Goshi. Hendry does a little dance to reset his feet.
Goshi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hendry momentarily.

Goshi stuns Hendry with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Goshi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Goshi misses with the combination.
Hendry ducks under a wild hook from Goshi.
Goshi takes a swing at Hendry's ribcage but misses.
Goshi throws a jab when Hendry was well out of range.
Hendry gets a takedown into half guard.
Hendry wants to free his trapped foot but Goshi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hendry is looking for a kimura here.

Goshi is trying to stand up here but Hendry is controlling him well.
Hendry is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Goshi manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hendry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hendry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hendry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Goshi is pushing Hendry's head away, looking to escape. Hendry manages to hold on to the position though.
Hendry working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hendry is breathing heavily.
Goshi tries to bench press Hendry off him but Hendry keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Goshi wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Hendry has hold of Goshi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Goshi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hendry cranks the arm and Goshi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Goshi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mark Hendry!
