Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Caruso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Brisbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Caruso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Brisbell!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brisbell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brisbell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Caruso swats away the attempt to clinch by Brisbell.
Brisbell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brisbell shoots in and drives through. Caruso sprawls well.
Caruso tries for a takedown but Brisbell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brisbell fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Brisbell moves into the clinch successfully.
Caruso goes for a takedown attempt but Brisbell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brisbell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Caruso drives through and clinches with Brisbell against the cage.
Brisbell gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Caruso.

Caruso jumps guard but Brisbell stands there with Caruso around his waist. Caruso gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Brisbell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Caruso counters with a shoot takedown. Brisbell fights it but they end up in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Caruso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brisbell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Caruso has gone for a leg lock! Brisbell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Caruso's guard.
Caruso is looking to stand back up but Brisbell counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Caruso.
Brisbell wants to stand up but Caruso has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Brisbell is trying to work for a kimura but Caruso is defending well.

Brisbell works his way into side control.
Brisbell tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kris Brisbell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Brisbell fails with the takedown

and Caruso counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Caruso is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brisbell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brisbell has escaped and now he's on top!
Caruso manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Brisbell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jonathan Caruso overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brisbell's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Caruso prevents Brisbell from getting the reversal.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Caruso stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Brisbell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Brisbell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Brisbell shoots for a takedown but Caruso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Brisbell clobbers Caruso with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brisbell goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Caruso is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Brisbell gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Caruso drops back looking for a leg! Brisbell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brisbell manages to kick Caruso off! Caruso jumps back into Brisbell's guard.
