Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Funku Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Regis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Regis pinned against the cage. Regis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

It looks like Funku Gracie has been cut.
Regis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Regis which made him look bad.

Regis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Regis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Regis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Regis wants it to stay on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Regis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Regis's waist but Regis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
