And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunha has Stokes up against the cage in a clinch.
Stokes can't get the takedown.
Cunha is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stokes pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Stokes can't break the clinch.
Cunha works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cunha with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cunha working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stokes's head.
Cunha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cunha is looking to work some ground and pound but Stokes has wrist control.
Stokes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cunha is one step ahead there.
Cunha drops back looking for a leg! Stokes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stokes manages to kick Cunha off! Cunha jumps back into Stokes's guard.
Cunha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Stokes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cunha manages to get himself to full guard.
Stokes wants to pass the guard but Cunha is keeping the position.
Cunha lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stokes!
Stokes is trying to stand.
Cunha goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Stokes is on top in guard.
Cunha looking for a sweep. Not yet Cunha, not yet.
Cunha keeping moving, preventing Stokes from controlling successfully.

Stokes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cunha is keeping the position for now.
Cunha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Stokes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cunha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stokes has managed to get both his arms back between Cunha's legs - danger averted.
Stokes wants to get up but he can't break Cunha's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cunha is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cunha is working for a kimura but Stokes is defending it quite comfortably.
Cunha in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Stokes tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cunha!
