The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar walks into a stiff left hand from Strong.

Lesnar closes the distance and clinches.

Strong has Lesnar pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Strong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lesnar tumbling to the mat - Strong dives into Lesnar's guard.
Lesnar wants to get back to his feet but Strong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Strong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
Strong trying to control but Lesnar is working from the bottom.
Lesnar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strong on the ground.

Strong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lesnar's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strong cracks Lesnar with a solid left hand.
Strong lands a couple of digs.

Strong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Strong looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Strong postures up and lands a big shot to Lesnar's brow.

Lesnar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lesnar tries to get out of the position.

Lesnar wants to get back to his feet but Strong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Strong postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Strong is in close to Lesnar's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lesnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lesnar is looking to clinch but Strong is avoiding it.
Some wild striking there from Lesnar.
Strong jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Strong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lesnar takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Strong lands a jab-cross combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Strong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Brock Lesnar's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Lesnar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Strong to score with a decent uppercut.
Strong scores with a punch to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Strong blocks a head kick by Lesnar.

Strong stalks Lesnar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lesnar's face. Lesnar staggers backwards, shaken.

Jeez, Brock Lesnar's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Lesnar walks into a straight right hand from Strong.
Strong lands with an overhand left.
Nice uppercut lands for Strong. That snapped Lesnar's head back.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brock Lesnar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
